E3 Expectations and Predictions

The Electronic Entertainment Expo, in other words, the biggest gaming event of the year, is a little under a month away and I want to know what you guys expect and want to see announced this year. Now that Microsoft and Sony have entered the next generation, I can't wait to see them butt heads and try to win us over with some major announcements. Microsoft has been doing really well recently with some of their current business changes, which is exactly the kind of attitude I hope to see them with going in and out of E3. Nintendo on the other hand really needs to prove themselves as a competitor in the 8th generation of gaming and Sony... they need start announcing some good games.

So, as usual I'll start us off.

Nintendo
The Legend of Zelda Wii U (Rumored to be called Shard of Nightmare) trailer and release window.
New Metroid game!
Super Smash Bros. 3D and Wii U gameplay, trailer, compatibility info, and full roster.
Hyrule Warriors trailer and release date.
Shigeru Miyamoto's brand new IP.
Bayonetta 2 release date.
Third Party support.
Changes and Updates to Wii U consoles.
eShop releases and plans.
3DS support.

Microsoft
Halo 5 trailer and release window.
Halo 2: Anniversary confirmation, trailer, and release date.
Gears of War 4?... Too soon? Fine.
Quantum Break gameplay, trailer, and release date.
New IPs and IP revivals.
Xbox One major system update.
Xbox One TV announcements.

Sony
Not much I could say other than some video game announcements. Chop, chop, Sony.
Oh and please don't **** up Uncharted and please revive Crash Bandicoot.

3rd Party
Resident Evil 7 announcement and trailer.
Marvel vs Capcom 4?
Assassin's Creed Unity trailer and release date.
Assassin's Creed Comet trailer and release date.
Rainbow Six: Patriots gameplay trailer, and release date.
The Division trailer and release date.
Batman: Arkham Knight gameplay trailer!
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain trailer and release date.
The Evil Within trailer.
Red Dead Redemption 2 reveal!
Borderlands The Pre-Sequel
Destiny

and that's all I can really think of off the top of my head.

I'll watch E3, but considering I am so stuck in the past with video games, I don't really have enough info to guess at what they'll reveal. That being said, I can still state some wishful thinking ;)

Nintendo:
- New Legend of Zelda
- Smash Bros U
- Kirby U?
- Pokemon U?

Microsoft:
...I uh...I really don't care...

Sony:
Jak and Daxter Reboot!?
New Bioshock?

Third Party:
- Resident Evil 7
- The Evil Within
- Sonic Boom for WiiU
- Sonic Games for PS3 and 360
- Star Wars: Battlefront III!

Well, the only thing I can think of at the moment is probably more info on Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Probably The Evil Within as well. (plus whatever else Sony and Microsoft has to show)

And here's hoping for RE7 and a new Silent Hill game (maybe plz?)

Yea there's been a lot of talk about Dice making a new Battlefront game.

It would be great to get some new Sonic games that weren't exclusive to Nintendo too.

Jak and Daxter reboot would be epic. If they made next-gen Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank and a reboot of Crash Bandicoot, I'd buy a PS4 in a heartbeat.

Oh and it was announced that Final Fantasy XV will also be released on PC. People are expecting a release date for all platforms at E3.

Anyone I have hope for is only for Nintendo they're the only worthwhile one recently.

Thank you Captain Obvious... I guess E3 isn't the place for announcements, info, specific release dates, and trailers. Oh wait, it is.

For MGO (Metal Gear Online) Kojima already told us he won't say anything about it.

Yeah, But I think it's because he doesn't really know. An american studio is doing it this time around.
 
My only real expectation is for Star Wars: Battlefront to not appear as what could be a mod for Battlefield 4. That would be soul crushing.
 
That only worked for DayZ

Besides SW BF has unique gameplay considering the Universe
 
Knowing the team behind The Last of Us is in charge of Uncharted 4, I am now pretty hyped for that. I didn't care too much for three, and largely because they weren't involved!

That's disappointing for me. I hated the Last of Us the game was below "Meh" for me which is sad since I had no expectations for it.

I give them props for MP though.
