hey i was playing the new mercenaries and have noticed in the loding screen and in the record section that there are special enemies can any one tell me how to triger them for each of the mercenaries levels?

I havnt played mercs yet
But when I was watching gameplay vids befre it came out
A lot of places said you gotta get a high combo for a triggered enemy to appear

i have had a combo of 149 and did not see any thing so i am not sure but ill try agen

There are different requirements for each to spawn: 1 might require u to get a certain combo another might require u to kill an enemy in a specific way, like with a trap. I just found about this feature today and the game doesnt stop surprising me even now, thats something.

Nope i doubt any1 knows for sure this early, right now they r still guesses but in a week might start checking, maybe some1 will have written a faq by then.

ok thanks ya i was hoping some one that has the strategy guide would post but ill be back in a week or so

I fought the Whooper (Fatty) In Catacombs for me he seems to appear when we kill about 3 of the Regenertor-look-a likes at the same time

I read in a video on youtube, on Urban Chaos, you have to counter 15 enemies when they attack you and you'll get that one. I've seen a video of it and it looks awesome.

I can confirm this:
Stage: Urban Chaos
Boss: Napad
Requirement: Collectively (dont have to be in a row/combo) perform 15 counters, that kill an enemy (the counter itself has to kill the enemy, a follow up attack won't count towards this).

just throwing this in here, concerning Mercenaries. so is Mercenaries possible to play, to not being connected (online). cause i am a xbox 360 user and currently hold a Gold Live subscription for 3 months and it will expire on December 24? i think, recalling a notice from Microsoft (Xbox 360). cause i have unlocked Helena, thanks to Ne0 (and will be definately be as her *Helena* when doing Mercenaries). and would like to most definatly enjoy Mercenaries when i finished all the campain.

yes you can still play mercenaries off line solo and split screen, but the agent hunt you will not be able to play because it is strictly online game play

ah, Yesss good to know....as i have unlocked a new stage for Mercenaries after fully completing Jake's campiain (being Sherry). well actually, i may be able to have GOLD live subscription by the end of my subscription due date (most positively). but anyhow Jake's campain was so verry much action-packed (i've dropped so may "F" bombs, heh. i'm pretty sure i will drop a more massive amount when i do Chris's segment when that comes *being Chris* cause of the type of player Chris is, so yesss many more "F" bombs shall deploy, heh) but yesss, but all in all i very much likes Leon's campain (being Helena). speaking of Helena, as i have said before. i can now say it officially that i very much Like Helena the same way i do like Ada (...Wong) best 64 (dollars i've ever spent, plus some taxes of course), it is sure of me that i won't be interested in buying any other type of non-campain multiplayer type gameplay via DLC, cause Mercenaries is sooooo much Fun, and Finally i give this game a perfect 10 decapitated Infectees's heads out of 10 decapitated Infectees's heads (10/10 score) :p

I'll bump this because I got a question about mercs. But I'll also answer this one since it appearantly hasn't.

Urban Chaos: Kill 15 enemies with counters = Red dude with shell (the one you have to fight about 10 times on steel beast)
Steel beast: Get 25 coup de grace kills = bee hyve queen thing
Mining the depth: 70 kills in 10 minutes (for both single and multiplayer). Does not have to be a combo. This is the easiest one I suppose. = That lizard dude that spits.

The other maps I don't know.

Now, my question: I noticed, when you do multiplayer mercs, you can both take a different skill. Do they stack or not? So if you both take the time bonus one, do you get 20 additional secs, or just 10? And if it doesn't stack, does it only work for the one that took it? Like, when one takes time bonusses skill, would it be best if he got all the time bonusses?

My friend had the time bonus skill and I had something else and when I got a time bonus, it was still the regular time but when he got it, it was with the extra time. :)

it depends on the perk like the time bonus if one player has it they should get all the times but if both have the perk it will allow both to get the time. in contrast to the perk go for broke where you get a score bonus for every 50 combo you get that applies two both people.

Some apply to both and don't double up if you both choose them because we've experimented with limit break with 2 people, and one person and it made no difference. So i would probaly recommend one limit breaker, and one power counter or combo time. The ones such as Time bonus + only apply to one person, i think the limit breaker, and the one that helps to keep the combo going when time runs out apply to both (because your both getting combo)
We had the beehive man on High Fortress earlier ona 70 combo , not sure of requirements
Has anyone managed to save a special enemy (not a hidden boss) like eg. The 2 fattys on urban chaos that come about 100 combo, I've been trying to save them to kill them last for 149 and 150 but its really hard. You used to get massive bonus for killing the big bosses last on RE5. Im not sure if the two fatties could 'count' or whether you have to unlock the secret boss and then save him till last for the big bonus.
