I had this question a long time ago, what is personal between Wesker and Chris?
I mean why does Wesker hates Chris so much and so does Chris (why he doesn't hate Jill as much for example?).
This personal hatred was affirmed by Chris in RE6 when Jake asked him whether killing his father was personal between the two or he was following orders, and Chris replied that it was a mix of both.

So what do you think? is it because Chris destroyed his plans back in the mansion or was it something happened between the two back when they were working for STARS that we don't know of?

Hmm, maybe it is because Wesker is just a jerk. it is true that Chris and a few others ruined his plans, but mostly because of the Red Queen didn't give him the data and wanted to take out his anger on someone. IDK i'm just throwing it out there.

I think it all starts with the events in RE1. Having confronted Chris and reveal his plans, he failed to kill Chris, which would be dangerous for his plans, but at that time, he's presumed dead, so he can't exactly go around and show his face to the public.
Since then Chris is always there to stop or confront Wesker, whenever he's doing something for his plans.
And Wesker realized, unlike the other cops, he couldn't buy Chris, which essentially makes him his 'nemesis'.
I think he also thought of the same with Jill, IMO, he also hates Jill, but the incident in Spencer Mansion may have changed that.

It is to be noted that among Resident Evil characters, the one with most confrontation with Wesker is Chris. Leon even never meet him in person.

The above are all IMO, since I couldn't remember everything that happened between RE1 and RE Veronica.

Oh, I'm sure a lot happened that is not shown on screen... ;)
But my perverted mind aside, I believe Wesker was afraid of Chris. Some hardcore fanboys might argue that Wesker was too badass, too evil and too whatever to be afraid of anyone, but let's face it, Chris became a threat to his plans more than once. I don't remember Chris ever foiling those plans (because in the end, Wesker always got what he wanted), but he definitely made things more complicated.
I don't think there was any hostility between the two before the mansion incident, quite the opposite. I'm sure Wesker always valued Chris's abilities while he was his captain and would even have accepted him as an ally if Chris hadn't been the good guy he was. That being said, I think Chris's meeting with Wesker in the mansion lab is the canon scene, then Code Veronica happened, and after the confrontation in the other Spencer Mansion that led to Jill's apparent death, she was no longer a threat anyway.
As for the others, let's see: Claire is not an active fighter, so we can safely ignore her. It is implied that Barry and Rebecca returned to civil life after the mansion incident. Leon never directly met Wesker or had anything to do with him. Ada even used to work for him, although not in the way he would have liked. He never met Jake. Sherry was under government control and not an agent while he lived. Other than that, we don't know any recurring characters who might have had a connection to Wesker, so Chris was really his only enemy and therefore the only one he had to worry about.

I believe Wesker has many reasons to hate Chris, but why do u think Chris hates him "in a personal way"?

Yup that's right, Chris was the one who encountered Wesker the most, but do you think Chris's personal hatred came as a reaction of Wesker's or as I said earlier something we don't know of?

True. Chris was the major threat to Wesker

I tend to believe that it's because of his investigation after RE1, he discovered a lot of things about Umbrella, mainly about G and T-Virus, and since he knew that Wesker is the one behind the mansion incident, I think it's safe to say his hatred grew because of that.
Not to mention that Wesker is using S.T.A.R.S. as pawn, so Chris could (and he should) hates Wesker for that as well.

There's this file in RE 2 (Chris's Diary I believe) where Chris explains how he was hitting on Wesker, but Wesker wasn't interested in dating mere mortals, only ones with superior dna. Chris's ego could never forgive that ever since.

Honestly, I always had the same question after finishing code veronica, which is where the rivalry started. Wesker comes out of nowhere and he is like "i despise Chris and blahblah", while in fact Chris did to Wesker as much as the rest of the starts during the mansion incident.

In the end, we can only speculate and write fan fiction stories before code veronica. Unless capcom has already released some sort of off-game file like wesker's report that i haven't noticed of.

To me Wesker is indeed a "comic book villain". Toο much hatred for no apparent reason.

Chris hated Wesker because he caused almost all his buddies life and forced him to kill some of them and also brought danger to her sister. Also Chris probably looked highly to his Captain and was shocked about the betrayal of him and his team members. So Chris goes out a crusade for revenge with the excuse of saving the world.

Wesker on the other hand doesn't hate Chris as much as Chris does to him. Chris ruined several of his big plans as such for a "perfect" guy this is no appealing. Wesker just doesn't want Chris to keep on ruining his life long works & plans.

Jill on the other hand had less connection with her team members, maybe because she was new. Jill is probably Wesker's favorite and sees her as a potential asset like in RE5 after the RE3 events. And since Jill was thinking more about saving the world Wesker sees her as less of a threat compared to the mentally & physically set Chris.

Total current and C Columbia Gateway is a colleague , and he is a C where that brother STARS team captain , that is, C brother 's boss . C brother though, and Granville total less cooked, but quite trust him .
But in 1998 , Wei total for his one plan , single-handedly created the mansion incident , lured C STARS team players such as Costa Rica and biochemical battling monsters to take combat data - total betrayal as Viagra , STARS squad almost the whole army annihilated , leaving only five survivors .
Pull away, then say a simple point : C brother always meet later and Granville and know the truth , really like when Liu Bei, Guan Yu was very sad after killing Sun Quan, and anger : " solitary and Soochow , the oath is also different moon ! "- C vents fury directly brother and scolded Wei total :" You a hook mother****** ! ! ! "
Since then the two oaths with the fire , C brother is to give all the expense of the STARS colleagues revenge, and Granville General is because C STARS surviving brother and another team JILL ruined his plans.
Since the launch of Resident Evil series of games , as long as they played when C brother anxious eyes, have to fight to the bitter with the prestige total . But Granville total because we obtained and injected many types of viruses , become more powerful, five generations have worked to teleport , and also caught off rockets .....

It's something that was established in Code: Veronica when Wesker was revealed to be alive, which is yet another reason to love that game. Their feud is linked to the events of RE1.
