Resident Evil 2 Remake steals the show at E3 2018 with debut screenshots and videos
A frightening return to the series’ survival horror roots!
After thrilling gamers with the news of Devil May Cry 5 being in development, Capcom upped the ante by revealing more spine-tingling details and media surrounding the long-awaited Resident Evil 2 Remake that fans have been salivating over for years now.
The huge media release wave came during Sony’s press conference slot of E3 2018, showcasing the ‘reimagined’ title that is being developed using Capcom’s proprietary RE Engine technology. From Capcom’s press release:
Resident Evil 2 [Remake] offers a fresh take on the classic survival horror saga with breathtakingly realistic visuals, heart-poundingly immersive audio, a new over-the-shoulder camera, and modernized controls on top of gameplay modes from the original game.
Resident Evil 2 Remake is presently on course for a worldwide release on January 25, 2019. Despite the Sony press event reveal, Capcom are promising that the game will come to all current hardware platforms, including the Sony PlayStation 4, Xbox One with optional Xbox One X support, and Windows PC.
