Resident Evil 2 (1998) What Did Umbrella Call The Lickers?

i have heard that during the raccoon city outbreak the police at the RPD named them Lickers beacuse of their long tounge thats like a whip and can peirce through bullet proof vests. and tricell named them the Licker Beta. but what did umbrella call them?

As far as I can tell that is their only name, and that they are just more mutated crimson heads using the V ACT.

Tricell named their series Beta because they were just modified versions of the original Lickers, made from infection of the Progenitor virus. Apparently Licker Betas are able to reproduce, making them more of an animal than a mutant. As for Umbrella's name for them, no one knows. They were given the name Lickers by the RPD and the name stuck. Apparently Leon reported them with the name.
