PC version

  • Later released on the PC on May 15, 2007 in North America; June 7, 2007 in Japan; and March 2, 2007 in Europe.

  • The PC version is capped at 30 FPS; it is not possible to increase the frame rate outside of modding the game.

  • The game is almost unplayable with a traditional mouse and keyboard set-up, without resorting to mods which introduce mouse support. Alternatively, the PS2 controller, when hooked up to your computer via a special USB adapter, works flawlessly.
  • While not officially supported, modding is made possible by editing the game's core files; see this unaffiliated for a great selection of Resident Evil 4 PC mods.
