Resident Evil 5 weird glitch -- please help

Don't know if anyone is getting this, but my first fight against Wesker keeps ending before the seven minutes are up. Getting the Heart of Africa treasure is proving difficult because he keeps running back to the main room early; I've timed it.

Any one else getting this or know how to fix it?

It's been a while since I've played RE5 (still remains a strong contender for series favourite!), but I'm pretty sure that your actions throughout the battle can influence the duration by having it shortened or extended by around one minute.

How short are we talking for you?

Edit: Okay - complete derp moment for me. To get the Heart of Africa, you need to remove the mind control device from Jill's chest during the follow-up fight, after Wesker has left. The Heart of Africa cannot be collected during the Wesker segment.

Good luck! Jill can be a tough cookie on harder difficulties.
