as hades said, exact same size ports and the PS2 will automatically detect it as a ps1 memory card. best way to check is to take a ps1 memorycard and a ps2, plug them both into the availible slots and check in the memory card brower (boot up the ps2 without a disk in) it should show 2 memory...

its beautiful! I currently Have RE: DC with an in-tact and perfectly working RE2 preview demo xD and no need to buy a ps1, if you have a ps2 you can play em on there, you just need a ps1 memory card to save your games.

Glad you guys understand, I dont mean my rant to be insultive or harmful in anyway, it was more "people need to see the whole picture, before trying to make critism on a piece of art". For me, I found RE4's story very hollow compared to the likes of the orginal trilogy, with RE2 being the best...

well a reboot, doesnt neccessarly mean the end of our well known and loved characters, but more of an end of the "survival action" setting that 4 and 5 both had. its my understanding from reading the interview on 6 that they intend to re-work the playing system to keep Resident Evil fresh-faced...

I love em all tbh, but nemesis stands out as my top game, mainly because of the nemesis and his unrelenting pursuit throughout the game, it was also the first RE to bring a dodging ability to the table, something I think we were all glad to recieve :) also without Operation Mad Jackal, there...
