What are you Thinking? Resident Evil Edition!

I've had so many little thoughts about RE that would've been good to post, but there's nowhere to post them. So, I decided to make a What are you Thinking? RE Edition thread! Post any little thought that you couldn't make a whole thread for about something Resident Evil. I feel like it would be too awkward to just post something like that in the normal What are you Thinking thread for some reason.

I feel like I'm the only person that thinks RE6 Ada is way better looking than all the previous looks of hers. Same with Barry's Rev2 look. In Remake he looked like a potato on drugs.

Hahaha well now you got me thinking that I think Ada looked great in RE6. Though I would argue that she looks best in RE: Damnation. Granted she looks practically the same in the two of them.

You also got me thing that Barry does NOT look like potato on drugs in the RE remake. Please.... don't.... make.... me.... see.... this.... UGH NO I Googled it and I can see it :'( Damn you!!!! Barry does look amazing in Rev 2 and does in the remake... I mean Game Cube Remake LOL (different or not). He certainly does look like he aged 13 years and he's 51. Oh how ironic! He's the same age as Alex Wesker XD Born the same year as all of the candidates of the Wesker project! Maybe he's a terrorist too? HAHAHA JK! No way in hell!

This thread is also making me think that think that this thread is going to be AWESOME and we are all going to have a lot of fun here. I'll definitely continue to post more thoughts in here.

This next part is borderline NSFW but if it's considered inappropriate then I'm all for the mods to remove it. After all this is a website for an M rated game and people under 17 probably should be here because of that. Shhhhh I swear I wasn't 14 when I started playing RE.

I thought you would like yourself some "Potato" face Barry Clause :3

kinda like i was this time last year with REmaster, not really concerning myself with anything RE related except RE0 REmaster. hoping like hell we get figures and prizes like we did with REmaster, the world deserves to have at least one rebecca figure that doesn't look like a child's silly putty project.

I think Revelations wet suit Jill and her look in the Resident Evil remake (Game Cube's still better) are the best Jill's. Actually Nemesis's Jill might be the best ;) Either way she was my first Resident Evil love from the moment I pressed start on Resident Evil <3

Battle suit Jill is still awesome. I hope everyone realises that it actually MAKES sense that her hair turned blonde. The P30 that controlled her on her chest was created through extended research of the Progenitor virus by Albert. She also had the T-Virus dormant within her (this may or may not be relevant as it may or may not have caused a reaction). However the P30 gives her boosts in agility and strength causing her to be the ultimate super soldier. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but either way Jill's blonde hair makes complete and total sense because the P30 was without a doubt is created from research of the progenitor virus and it is possible that it is the progenitor virus itself that can cause the blonde hair once bonded correctly. This may mean Jill's hair will naturally go back to being her natural color over time because the effects of the P30 are only temporary! :)

Kind of random, but I think Albert and Alex Wesker were actually blood-related, more specifically twins. Everything about them seems like they are. Both names start with Al (a lot of parents do that), they were born in the same year, they were the only surviving Wesker children because they had the most similar DNA or whatever and happened to be put on the list in LiN beside each other, talked similarly, looked similar, seemed too close to be just random strangers that were turned into siblings... I'm convinced they were twins.

I don't know if I'm right or not, I haven't played RE5 for a while, but I thought the blonde hair and pale skin was a result of Jill either being in stasis for an extended period of time, or because of the experiments performed on her in harvesting her antibodies to the T-Virus and subsequent research and development on the Uroboros virus. Like I said, I may be wrong, but I thought that her hair turned blonde before the P-30 device was placed on her chest. I think there was a file that stated her hair had changed while she was in stasis, you find it on a screen after Excella talks to you on a computer screen.

Either way, though, if Jill's hair can't naturally go back to her natural colour, Capcom could just make it that colour and say she dyes it. :)

EDIT: Here's a transcript of the file I mentioned.

I don't care what Jills hair color is, as long as they don't just make her unphased by everything. She has now been through more mentally then any other major character. Mental horror could add a whole new deminsion to the games, I want to actually see her fighting to cope with it all.

I agree. I just hope they won't mess it up like with Chris in RE6 who suffered from PTSD, Amnesia plus he was an alcoholic for six months, but he gets aways with it like nothing ever happened :p They really shouldn't sweep that under a rug and pretend like her being captured by Wesker never happened.

They are not twins nor are they blood related. I believe it was stated somewhere that the Wesker children are of different nationalities. Albert is American, we know this for a fact. We don't know Alex's nationality but there are hints that she could be Russian or German, but Alex is still a character surrounded with mysteries and there is still very little known about her. They are indeed both survivors of the prototype virus and they both come from parents who had superior intellect. They do not talk similar at all imo. Alex is very clever with her words and far more scary and intimidating and she is very poetic and has to be theatrical to boost her ego. Albert Wesker is more straight forward and likes to talk and talk and talk a lot of bull**** to boost his ego and insult all the plebs (Alex does this last part even better imho). They didn't be come friends or close until sometime after Alex found out Albert was still alive and they conspired together to kill Spencer. She may have told him of his origins as she was overseeing Project W. in the 90's. Alex saw Albert as a brother and cared for him more than he did for her as he was likely jealous of her. Refer to Metamorphosis by Kafka for this, She is Greta and he was Gregor.

Most importantly they do NOT look at all alike. They have different facial structure and incredibly different builds. Also Albert was always known to be a blondie. Alex on the other hand was proven in Revelations 2 to have brown or a darker hair color sometime after 2000 but before 2005 if I recall correctly (see below). She gets **** done fast 0.0 The T-Phobo's virus may have caused her hair color to change. We don't know for sure. I cannot see in any way how they may be blood related. Their genetics, voice, and potential nationality to not line up.

I always assumed the poster woman was Svetlana Belikova, because the Russian radio broadcast that Claire can listen to in the same room mentions her, and the woman also looks more like Svetlana than Alex. And wasn't the president a dirty blonde anyway? Dirty blond hair can easily look brown in any not so well-lit environments.

Has anyone else noticed that blondes are (almost) always evil in this series? I think I even made a thread about it once. The Weskers, the Birkins, the Ashfords, Svetlana Belikova, Monster Rachael, Nicholai... Ashley is not evil, but many players consider her so dumb and annoying that they want to kill her anyway, and Jill turned blonde before we had to fight her - coincidence? Makes me think Capcom decided to turn Elza Walker into Claire because they couldn't imagine a blonde heroine...

so, what you're saying is........villains use hair dye, and the lighter the shade, the evil-er?

also, if Albert Wesker (ALL HAIL THE WESKER) succeeded on conquering the world, the money will look like this:

Ironically I am currently replaying RE5 with one of my best friends atm.

A stasis pod can very well turn someone pale, however there is no logic for that to turn someone's hair to a different color. I am pretty sure it was a result of Albert's experiments on her to further his research on Uroboros and the progenitor virus. It seems like almost anyone who "bonds" to the T-virus has their hair turn blonde. Jill still has the T-Virus dormant in her blood and Wesker's experiment did react with that.

http://residentevil.wikia.com/Jill_Valentine
"Jill, who had reviled bioweapons and devoted her life to eradicating them, was ironically being used to develop the most terrible bioweapon of all. After much research and experimentation, Wesker finally perfected the Uroboros virus. As a test subject, Jill's body went through various changes as a result of these experiments. Side effects included pale skin and blonde hair. Jill's participation in its development meant that she was no longer a suitable test subject. Pure and unadulterated antibodies with high resistance to the virus permeated her body. Wesker decided he would find a suitable use for her elsewhere. Stripped from her BSAA uniform, Jill was fitted with a skin tight battle suit and kept in observation during her stay in cryostasis. During the research into the Progenitor virus, an ancillary chemical was discovered. The researchers referred to it as simply - P30. When administered to test subjects, it would not only give them superhuman strength, but also rendered them highly susceptible to control."

I don't care what Jills hair color is, as long as they don't just make her unphased by everything. She has now been through more mentally then any other major character. Mental horror could add a whole new deminsion to the games, I want to actually see her fighting to cope with it all.

I actually disagree with this. She certainly went through a lot but I will argue that Natalia went through more horrors and suffered more loss than any other character in the series. She went through the most horrible of experiments and was exposed to pure malice induced experiments by the cruelest person to date (this is my opinion). It's true that Alex treated her with "care" but that definition is broad.

Natalia lost her parents at a young age and survived the collapse of Terragrigia. She also is truly losing her self is in trapped within her body and supressed. I'd imagine that Alex has her locked up in a dream state of the worst of nightmares to keep her down and broken willed and sometimes false fantasies.

Chris lost his parents at a young age and Jill went though horrible experiments. She was aware of everything she did unlike Natalia who is "a bird trapped in a cage". Natalia at a very young age has had the experiences of both Chris and Jill and with a fate far worse than anyone else. Deep inside she is trapped with the worst of horrors that is unspeakable.

Really? I thought RE6 was Chris's stronger story yet. He actually was developed and very emotional. He felt very human rather than being just like Captain America XD I loved his PTSD and he suffered great losses. He always puts other's first and has been self-sacrificial from the start of the series. He and Piers took the rear to protect the squad from the B.O.W.'s that were chasing him. Chris was protecting his team so if anyone died..... it was him and his team was ambushed leaving only him and Piers to live. Everything Chris was trying to stop happened, this is very tragic and would emotionally destroy him. He's lost more partners than he can count :( After the loss of Piers I don't see how he can recover. He's without a doubt going to try to stop terrorist but his mental state and abilities will be an issue for him. I get the feeling that his days are numbered and his 9 lives are about to expire :'(

For the record I never cared nor liked Chris until RE6. He was my least favourite of all of the protagonist and he was a very one-dimensional character. He is now one of my favorites and a very complex and well written character. Chris is a true hero that must be respected for his honor and selflessness to put everyone before him no matter who it is. He even accepted his fate to Jake as long as Jake promised to fight B.O.W's in his steed. He's also asked his partners to kill him if it meant stopping a threat.
