in response to no mention of jake in previous RE history: he's a total surprise. he's wesker's b*stard, left behind with some woman he knocked up years ago. wesker probably met her at a bar or something and took her home, then left the next day i don't think she was anyone "important" to any previous story line. also remember, wesker lead a somewhat "normal" life before the mansion incident...

Btw, I forgot to add, someone said Chris and Leon pulling a gun on each other means they have never met. Umm, not really, it just means that they're really ****ed at each other. XD Leon even addresses Chris by his name so he recognizes him.

Also something I caught after rewatching the trailer for the 16th time. Alex saids that Ada packs a hit of something like that. Is Ada infected possibly? Or am I overthinking this.

...And Leon uses a VHS? What the hell? XD Maybe it's footage from the 90s. It was just kinda funny because they've got all of these advances gadgets and stuff then all of a sudden you see a VHS. XD It definately stood out.

Because this along with the Wesker Children story is pulled out of the ass and they have no real explanation. But I shall try and make the best of this story.

Kind of like how they brought wesker back from the dead in cv without explanation. Really capcom needed a way to bring him back.

Yeah, but it was done well and to me it made sense. But that's just my perspective. Plus to me, the series was still young enough to have a few add ons like that to the story. That's also why most fans are more welcoming to new characters when they're introduced early in the series. I have no doubt in my mind that Sheva would be more loved had she been in RE 1, 2, 3, or CV.

Now that I think about it, that guy could indeed be Alex.

The age syncs up since he and wesker where children during the initial Wesker project.

And also, Alex was hinted at being known for being "behind the scenes" and doing valuable "research" rather than on the frontlines like Albert who was in STARS.

That guy in the pic for some reason seems to give me the that vibe...

Also we hear a man's voice during part of the trailer and it seems like he is behind these things, it could possibly be him. Another thing is the fact that since this new guy is now confirmed to have the "Wesker Blood" it would be a great plot element to have him meet the only remaining Wesker from the famous "Wesker project".

Like Wesker's death, the new information on his 'son' feels like an ass-pull though. Why the hell would they put that kind of information in a trailer anyway? Hope there's another twist to it and/or a good explanation.

Wesker Jr. might be Alex's son. Since only Alex seems to know about the Wesker project, the woman might think it was Albert's son, but he wasn't, or something similar...

Kill him? Why would she do that...She can do so much more with him if he's alive...Him being Wesker's song is no call for killing him...As for being his mother...That doesn't add up because Wesker didn't know Ada at the time...

To storyofmylife: I think it was already stated that his mother was someone else. But I agree that he looks nothing like Albert. But Chris seems to think so. It looks like they're gonna pull a Mileena and have all of the in-game characters see an unmistakable resemblence where as the fans do not see one at all.

Now that I'm returning to my senses, Capcom give me my things back. XD Nah, im still excited but there are a few things that are bothering me. Leon is gonna get killed in this game thanks to Ada, I just know it. And Chris is probably gonna be the one to do it. If that happens, it will be very disheartening to play to old RE games featuring Leon and Chris.

This is too much for me, I need to go to the bookstore to calm my spirit.

I must admit, when chris first asked Jake have they "met before" I was pretty set on it being Steve at that point.

Chris has indeed met Steve briefly during Code Veronica and thus he might have thought he recognized him.

But once the Wesker son thing came up, that was thrown out the window lol.

Now I wonder if Capcom are trying to say that Chris thought he looked familiar because he looks like wesker because if thats the case I call BS since I honestly do not think he looks like Albert Wesker one bit. I still say he looks more like Steve than anything.
